Growing up under the vast summer skies of Northern Canada, the Aurora Borealis was a regular seasonal wonder, a ballet of solar energy igniting the ionosphere, painting the sky with shifting waves of color. At their peak, the lights would crackle audibly, waking me from sleep. I remember standing with my father on our lawn, wrapped in silence and awe. The night he was buried, the sky offered the most breathtaking display we had ever seen.
These mobiles, crafted from metal and suspended glass, echo the movement, light, and memory of those celestial performances - an attempt to honor the dance of the Northern Lights and the beauty they hold in my memory.
